The (Tenant) Compliance Details Page displays when the “Tenants” view is selected and you click a row in the Baseline Management table.

Use this page to view more detailed information about compliance for the selected Tenant (including the specific rules it failed and how), Create an Assessment, and Detach Baselines from your Syncro Tenants.

The Left (Summary) Panel

The left side of the Compliance Details Page displays summary information about the Syncro Tenant and its compliance with the attached Baseline, including:

  • Tenant: The name of the Syncro Tenant. Click the hyperlinked version to navigate to the Syncro Tenant's Details Page.
  • Baseline: The name of the Baseline attached to the Syncro Tenant. Click the hyperlink to navigate to that Baseline's Details Page.
  • Last Audited: The date/timestamp the Syncro Tenant was last audited using the Baseline.
  • Microsoft Secure Score: The Microsoft Secure Score for the Syncro Tenant based on the last audit.
  • Compliance: The compliance score for the Syncro Tenant based on the last audit.
  • The Total number of Rules in the Baseline, and the number of Rules with each of the following Statuses:
    • Failed: The Tenant did not meet the requirement set by this rule during the last audit.
    • Error: Syncro could not determine compliance for this rule because of an error during the last audit.
    • Pending: Syncro did not assess this rule during the last audit. Check back later for an updated status.
    • Passed: The Tenant met the requirement set by this rule during the last audit.

The Rules Table

Snippet: Rules Metadata

The right side of the page displays a table with the status of the individual Rules for the Baseline and several pieces of metadata.

This metadata provides context for each of the individual rules by letting you know what we're basing it on and why it exists. You can also use this information to make deployment easier by prioritizing and/or organizing your work. For example, you might decide to take care of all of the None/Low User Impact areas first, focus your work by Service/Product to keep all of your work inside the same tool, or fully cover the security Category you care about the most.

Unless you filter the table or explicitly show/hide columns, the metadata displayed includes:

  • Status: The status of the individual rule (i.e., Failed, Error, Pending, Passed).
  • Rule: The full name of the individual rule, as specified in the Security Essential baseline.
  • Notification: A green checkmark appears if a notification is configured for the individual rule. See Manage Notifications for Rules for more information.
  • Minimum License: The minimum license required for the rule to apply / to be assessed against (e.g., Business Basic).
  • User Impact: A general measure of the disruption an end user might experience when implementing a rule. (i.e., None, Low, Med, High). A High impact rule is likely to disrupt an end user's workflow, and you'll likely want to have a conversation with your client before you implement it. A good example of this is MFA: if MFA wasn't enabled before but now it's required, end-users will be forced to set up MFA.
  • Category: The security category that aligns with the Microsoft Secure Score. This information gives you a rough idea of what the rule was designed to protect, and can give you a sense of how you're doing across each of the important areas (i.e., Identity, Apps, Endpoints, Data).
  • Product: The Microsoft product the individual rule covers (i.e., Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
  • Framework: The abbreviated name(s) and Control Numbers/IDs for the individual rule (i.e., CIS, CIS MS 365, NIST CSF, etc.), in case you want to look up more details about it.

Tips:

  • By default, Syncro sorts the individual Rules by Status first (Failed > Error > Passed), and then alphabetically by Rule (name).
  • If you set up and received an In-App notification, you can click it to navigate directly to this page with the Rule Details panel opened.
  • Hover over the breadcrumb in the upper left to navigate back to the Baseline Management table ("Tenants" View).

View Details About Individual Rules

Snippet: View Rule Details

You can view details about Baseline Rules from both the Baseline Details Page and the Compliance Details Page.

To view details about a particular Rule, simply select a row in the Rules list. A “Rule Details” panel slides over the summary to show you more detailed information about the selected Rule:

The following collapsible/expandable sections appear:

  • Compliance: Currently, the only option is the Rule is Required toggle (not editable). When opened from the Compliance Details Page, you'll also see Status and Last Audit information:
  • Auto Response: Currently, the only option is the Notification toggle. When toggled On, you'll receive Notifications when attached Syncro Tenants violate the selected Rule. (This matches the Notification column on the right side.) See Manage Notifications for Rules for more information.
  • Details: Includes a high-level description of the Rule, the Minimum License, its User Impact, Category, Product, and associated Framework as previously described. It also provides links to any official Microsoft documentation or supporting Resources.
  • Remediation Instructions: Step-by-step instructions about how to bring the Syncro Tenant back into compliance when it fails the Rule. For Rules with a “Passed” status, this section is automatically collapsed.

To close the “Rules Details” side panel, either click the X in the upper right, or click anywhere outside of it.
